This policy explains what personal information Reelography collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've kept it in plain language.
1. Who we are
Reelography is an India-based marketplace that connects couples with photographers and reel creators, and provides related products such as protected Wedding and Pre-Wedding bookings, the Reelo Event memory home, and optional guest face photo discovery. This notice covers the Reelography website and apps.
2. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, phone number, email, whether you're a customer or a photographer, and a profile photo if you add one.
- Booking and payment records: packages, event dates, quotes, amounts paid, refunds, and support messages needed to run your booking. We do not store full card numbers — payments are handled by our payment provider.
- Photos and videos: studio portfolios and your delivery galleries, subject to file-type, size, and moderation checks.
- Device and usage information: approximate location when you turn on “near me” discovery, plus app diagnostics and security logs. We never log passwords or payment secrets.
- Face photo data (only when enabled): your consent record and a non-reversible match signature limited to a single event — not a stored gallery of your face.
- Connected accounts: if a studio links Instagram, we read popularity metrics (such as followers and reach) to show discovery signals; location assist uses a maps provider.
3. Why we use it
- To run discovery, chat, booking, payments, delivery, and Reelo Event access.
- To verify a photographer's identity where payouts require it.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, keep accounts secure, and meet legal obligations.
- To improve reliability using non-personal, aggregated diagnostics.
4. What's public on our site
Our public pages show marketplace basics only: studio name, city, ratings, portfolio previews, starting prices, and Instagram popularity when a studio has linked it. Personal contact details, saved favourites, and payment information are never shown on public pages.
5. Who we share it with
We share data with trusted service providers only as needed to run the platform — hosting, payments, media delivery, and notifications. A photographer sees the booking details needed to serve your event. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Face photo discovery
When a customer turns on face photo discovery for an event, guests can opt in with a reference selfie to find the photos they appear in. Matching is limited to that single event — never the whole album and never across other events. Guests can report a wrong match, and the customer can switch the feature off at any time.
7. How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept as long as needed to run your booking and meet legal and accounting requirements. Reelo Event storage includes 50GB for 3 months, with the countdown starting from the first full-quality upload. We won't delete event media while a dispute, refund, or legal hold is open.
8. Your choices and rights
- Update your profile details in the customer or photographer app.
- Withdraw face-discovery consent, or report an incorrect match, whenever it's enabled.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete your data — contact us with the subject “Privacy request”.
9. How we protect it
We require you to be signed in and authorised before accessing protected information, limit who can see what, and protect long-lived credentials for connected services. We never return or display your login tokens.
